How We Are Making a Difference

A social worker approached us afterwards and said she would have put in her notice that day, had we not been there. She had to do her first child removal and was devastated, and came in for the luncheon just to catch her breath. She said it was the sign she needed to keep going.”

Working with vulnerable children and families is emotional, often thankless work. Sometimes the weight of the work we do gets so heavy and morale of workers is severely impacted. To have our efforts seen, acknowledged and valued lifts spirits and brings light to our darker days.”
